Part-Time Sales Assistant - Soft Furnishings Department

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Friendly, polite and pleasant personality
• Honest, reliable and responsible attitude
• Energetic and enthusiastic with a positive, confident attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Excellent time-keeping skills and attendance records
• Accuracy on computerised till programs
• Basic computer skills including email and good telephone skills
• Previous retail experience is essential

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Assisting and serving customers and giving product advice
• Calculating curtain/blind measurements and placing accurate orders
• Processing quotes/orders and keeping paperwork accurate and up to date
• Managing customer queries, organising deliveries/fittings and follow up
• Previous experience of home furnishings may be an advantage

Applicants should note this can be a physically demanding role with prolonged periods of standing and manual handling involved.

REQUIRED HOURS ARE:
Hours are negotiable with a minimum of 23 hours per week including Saturdays.

FLEXIBILITY WILL BE REQUIRED ON OCCASIONS
