Kleine Wolke
It all started on the Reeperbahn - not on the world-famous entertainment mile in nearby Hamburg, but in the cordage hall (the "Reeperbahn") of the Reepschläger and master rope maker Claus Hinrich Michelsen. With a pioneering spirit and far-sightedness, Michelsen founded his company for cordage in 1793 in the fishing village of Grohn near Bremen - origin of the "Little Cloud". Children and grandchildren knew how to use the industrialization boom so skilfully that a stock corporation was founded at the end of the 19th century.
