Waterford Crystal

Waterford’s Master Cutter & Artisan, John Coughlan, will be in store on 28th September demonstrating and personalising any Waterford Crystal preordered through this service or bought that day.

John started working in Waterford in 1970. He qualified in 1975 and three years later became a Master Cutter specialising in reproductions of the period pieces that Waterford had done in 1700-1900. He has cut many trophies for entertainment and sports awards including The Players Championship golf tournament played each year at Sawgrass.

John was involved in the making of the first Times Square Ball in the millennium year of 2000 cutting the Star of Hope pattern on the 2668 triangular panels that make up the ball. He was one of the first artisans to travel to the US, Canada and Caribbean to sign and engrave the crystal pieces made by him to make them collectable.

Special Prestige pieces and other Waterford Crystal items will be available for purchase and engraving on the evening. Those buying through this service will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win 6 John Rocha Wine Glasses.
